Tiny Garden Discoveries
The Story Garden Library

Sit awhile and read.
Welcome to The Story Garden Library—our florilegium of stories, observations, paintings, and moments gathered from the living garden.

Here, a mourning dove becomes a neighbor. A spider leaves behind a mystery. A fallen petal may hold an entire afternoon.

These are stories about what becomes visible when we slow down, look closely, and pay attention long enough for something to matter.

Wander among the shelves. There is no need to hurry.

The Living Garden
Meet the neighbors who share this garden.

This garden belongs to more than those who tend it.

Birds arrive at the windows.
Bees disappear into blossoms.
Lizards watch from behind flowerpots.
Spiders build between the roses, and seeds quietly prepare to travel.

The Living Garden is an ever-growing record of the plants, wildlife, mysteries, fragrances, and seasonal changes found within one real garden.

Come closer.

Someone small may be waiting to be noticed.

The Artist’s Workshop

Where the garden becomes art.
A pencil follows the curve of a stem.
Water meets pigment.
A flower begins to bloom again on paper.

The Artist’s Workshop is where garden observations become paintings, patterns, sculptures, and collections.
Here you may find finished pieces alongside sketches, experiments, natural specimens, reference photographs, and works still finding their way.
Nothing begins as a product.
It begins with noticing.

The Potting Shed Shop

Beautiful things made for noticing.

The Potting Shed Shop holds artwork and objects inspired by the garden: original paintings, prints, small sculptures, handmade pieces, and thoughtful gifts created or collected with care.

Each piece carries something of the living world beyond it—a feathered neighbor, a familiar bloom, a tiny discovery, or a story worth remembering.

Take your time.

Perhaps something here will feel as though it has been waiting for you

About Olive & Edith

A garden tended through attention.
Olive & Edith grew from one living garden and the creatures, stories, and quiet discoveries found within it.

It is tended by two Garden Tenderers who believe a garden is not something to control, but a place where life can feel welcome. Over the years, paying attention to this patch of earth revealed a world that had always been there: individual lives, unexpected relationships, unfolding mysteries, and beauty hidden inside ordinary days.

Olive & Edith was created to share that way of seeing—a place for those who notice what others walk past, and for anyone who may have forgotten how much there is still to discover.

Here, you do not have to accomplish, perform, or make anything happen to belong.

You are welcome simply because you arrived.
